RENOWNED music boss, DJ Tira, is fuming after his Afrotainment bookings number was hacked.
And now, social media accounts belonging to Afrotainment are hanging by a thread, as the hacker has threatened to hack all of them if DJ Tira (real name Mthokozi Khathi) doesn’t comply with the hacker’s demand to send R25 000. Tira had confronted the hacker and asked for his bookings number to be brought back.
Sunday Sun has seen the WhatsApp conversation between Tira and the alleged hacker. The hacker tells DJ Tira that he must ask Bonang Matheba, Lerato Kganyago and Cassper Nyovest, if he doesn’t believe that he’s capable of hacking all social media accounts.
The drama began when Afrotainment noticed that its bookings number wasn’t working. And when they did a follow-up with Vodacom, they were told it’s been hacked.
Nkule Shezi, who is responsible for Afrotainment’s artists bookings, said on Monday she noticed the phone had no network.
“I then called Tira as I felt something strange was going on. He contacted Vodacom and they helped us and the number came back, but the WhatsApp didn’t,” she said.
“We’re afraid because we don’t know what this hacker is doing with the WhatsApp number.”
Nkule said she opened a case at the Berea Police Station in Durban, KZN, on Wednesday.
Tira believes cops will get to the bottom of this and arrest the alleged hacker. He’s of the belief that someone is out there to rob celebrities and feast on their hard work.
