A year and a half after being the butt of Mzansi's jokes for several errors in her memoir, Bonang found herself at the centre of another social media storm over a spelling mistake on the label of her latest bubbly range.
The commotion started when B took to Instagram Stories to post about her new Methode Cap Classique (MCC) range, called House of BNG.
Beady-eyed fans spotted that the word elegant was spelt wrong on the label and soon shared comments about it on social media.
As jokes about the mishap spread, Bonang's team told TshisaLIVE it was an error in printing that only affected a small batch.
"The bottle with the error was part of a smaller batch, a consignment of about 100 bottles, that were pushed out after a large amount of demand for the product. It has been rectified and all stores should have the correct spelling," Bonang's manager Davin Phillips said.
He added that the bubbly sold out on Woolworths' website within two hours of its launch and that new stock was being delivered each day.
"There is an incredible demand for the product that has seen us dip into the reserve consignments. Many stores are getting stock in the morning and selling out by the end of the day. We have also secured a partnership with the Taboo group to provide the product in their venues."
Meanwhile, Bonang laughed off the moemish on social media, telling followers that she is now looking to release a white wine range called "elegent".
