Fitness fundi, Sbahle Mpisane who is on her recovery path after the horrific car crush which almost took her life last year could have found a new boyfriend, if her recent Instagram post is anything to go by.
Sbahle Mpisane has broken her silence on her relationship with Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, telling fans that she is only focused on herself and recovering from her horror car crash.
On Wednesday the fitness bunnie posted an image with balloons and gift cards with a caption which talks about being her parents’ daughter and also a girlfriend to an unknown character whose name was intentionally left out and replaced with a dotted line.
"I view the accident as a human experience I needed to become more than a daughter of my parents, a girlfriend to…. and even more than #FitnessBunnie 🙏🏾 My slow walk towards my happy ending is not about anyone and has NO Prince Charming.…#resurgence,” she wrote in part.

It might seem a bit vain, but I am my own #WCW this week. After 3 weeks of being in a coma, waking up to a body at almost 80% broken in bones, God protected my spine. With no memory, of not just the accident but of most of the last two years being blurry. In total I spent 4 months in hospital. Today I walked out of a weeklong stay in hospital hopeful and filled with faith. The road has been lonely, but I am forever thankful for the love of my family and your continual support & prayers. 💕 I have come to embrace the tough & pain filled days. I have learnt to make a map of them, by sitting & growing with them. I view the accident as a human experience I needed to become more than a daughter of my parents, a girlfriend to… and even more than #FitnessBunnie 🙏🏾 Rediscovering myself is such a humbling journey. I am learning to celebrate myself without awaiting anyone to do so. My slow walk towards my happy ending is not about anyone and has NO Prince Charming. With God by my side, I am becoming my own completion on a path searching for my purpose that He spared my life for. It’s a long road ahead… #resurgence
Well, if the two were still together why would Sbahle make us guess who the boyfriend is?
On Monday, responding to a fan who had asked if Sbahle and Khune were going to get married this time, she downplayed any wedding bells.
"Since coming out of a coma my focus has been 100% on my wellness and recovery. So yeah, I am married to myself," she wrote.
The pair have not posted about each other for over a month, leading some jittery fans to think that there might be trouble in paradise.
The couple took a break in 2017 before getting back together several months later. Now fans are concerned that the same thing might be happening and have left messages on Sbahle's social media pages.
One fans asked her on Monday whether she was still planning to marry "Africa's number one".
"Are you going to marry Itu this time or you'll dump him again? Curious nje," the fan wrote.
Sbahle responded by telling the fan that since coming out of a coma she has only been looking out for herself.
She also shut down any wedding bells, claiming she is married to herself.
This would not be the first time for the couple to break up. in 2017, Sbahle Mpisane took to Instagram on one Sunday morning to share the heartbreaking news, posting a picture with the caption: “Not everything works out the way you wish for it to do … Some situations are worth removing yourself away from! I am no longer dating the Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goal keeper anymore sadly.”
This was after the couple had just celebrated their one-year anniversary.
Khune has previously dated presenter and model Minnie Dlamini and, when he broke up with her, it shocked all those who thought that their love was forever. We thought they would get back together after some time, but clearly that did not happen.
Love, like clean sheets for South Africa’s number one man between the poles, is never guaranteed.
Sbahle was rushed to ICU in August last year after she lost control of her BMW and crashed into a tree in Durban. She was in hospital for over two months.
Itu consistently posted about his queen, wishing her a speedy recovery while she was in a coma.
