South African comedy lovers are in for a real treat at the two-day Johannesburg International Comedy Festival (JICF) which boasts six shows by over 30 local and international comedians.
Organisers were excited to announce the line-up and dates earlier this week, after the festival had to be postponed late last year due to student protests.

South African president, Jacob Zuma has pulled a massive shocker after announcing an immediate ban to all citizens from Southern Africa. Ugandan entertainer, comedian, and actress, Anne Kansiime, has been arrested at London Heathrow Airport for trying to smuggle 2 kilograms of cocaine hidden in two bags of coffee inside two suitcases, authorities said on Wednesday.
Customs and Border Protection police officers searched her suitcases upon suspicion and found a plastic coffee bag containing white powder, officials said.

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) says it is preparing to receive the remains of a soldier who was killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Moalosi Mokhotu died earlier this month during a gun battle with rebels operating in the DRC’s north Kivu province.
Mokhothu was part of the deployment of South African soldiers to the DRC to ensure peace and stability in the war-torn county.

Nigeria has confiscated 2.5 tonnes of "plastic rice" smuggled into the country by unscrupulous businessmen, the customs service says.
Lagos customs chief Haruna Mamudu said the fake rice was intended to be sold in markets during the festive season.
He said the rice was very sticky after it was boiled and "only God knows what would have happened" if people ate it.
