The 2017 BET Awards set to take place on Sunday June 25 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles has rolled out its nominees in the Best International Act Africa music category.
Last year 2016 in Los Angeles, South African DJ and Producer Black Coffee went home with the award edging out AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Diamond Platnumz, Wizkid, Yemi Alade, MzVee, and Serge Beynaud.

Coffee became  the first South African to win an award in that category.

It was former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng who helped Bonang Matheba keep her job at Metro FM, it has been revealed to MzansiLIVE. This despite many so-called “offences” at the public broadcaster which saw eyebrows raised.

In 2014 Bonang’s contract with Metro FM was terminated after she signed a deal with rival pay-TV station SuperSport, a move that had not been approved by the SABC.
